The book 'Press Here' by Herve Tullet is a fun interactive story that you can use to learn about colors and directions. My students loved this book and they loved making patterns using dots cut out that I prepared.
I decided to create a pattern matching printable to help them continue AB, ABC, AAB, ABB, AABB, ABBC and AABC patterns. This can be a great activity for your math centers. When you download this printable you will get three different strips for each pattern.
I suggest going through each type of pattern with your kids first. Let them work with the three different strips and try to find a match to continue each pattern. To increase the level of difficulty you can mix two or three different types of patterns.
